Like all the large cities of the
world, the night life of the
cities of Italy also centre around
Nightclubs, discos, restaurants
and bars with dancing. Cinema is
generally in the Italian language,
though you can see English movies
at the Pasquine Cinema, Vicolo
della Paglia, just off Santa
Maria in Trastevere. During the
summer months you will be treated
to Open-air concerts conducted by
the Opera House and the Academy
of St Cecilia, while
there is open-air theatre at the Baths
of Caracalla. All
types of music – jazz, rock,
folk, classical etc… – can be
heard at different venues or
stations about which information
is easily available. A most
pleasant pastime, unique to
Europe, is to sit at the tables
set outside the many restaurants
and café’s throughout Italy,
and watch life as it flows by you.
The Massimo D’Azeglio,
in
Rome, is a hotel restaurant
famous for its classic food.
